Practice Plan
Wonder what a typical practice look like:
Club members are placed into “evolving” groups based on ability.
Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced.
Practice begins with all club members talking with a coach and reviewing the practice plan for the day. Each practice will focus on a different element of good shooting based on the group level that the club member is in.
Ex. Beginners may work on Footwork during week one. Intermediate shooters may work on developing a consistent Pre Shot Routine. While advanced members may work on Hard and Soft Focus.
All club members spend about 10-15 minutes working on the Wall Chart focusing on selected targets for that week before practicing any shots on the range.
After time on the Wall Chart club members proceed to the range and implement the practice plan for the day under the watchful eye of coaches and parent volunteers.
Club members are responsible for recording there scores at the end of each round. Keeping accurate records of scores is essential to monitoring a club members progress and determining what the focus of the next practice needs to be.
